ORIGIN DENOMINATIONS

The functions basically of the Origin Denominations consist of applying the standards in the Regulations and ensuring that they are complied with, encouraging and monitoring the quality of the products covered.

Quality of 'Denominación de Origen' (D.0) in Spain isn't only refered to olive and oil-growing products but others like wine or cured ham.

The Regulations of the Origin Denominations -Denominación de Origen- define the Control Board as a devolved body of the Ministry of Agriculture with decision-making powers for the functions given to it in the Regulations.
